The revolutionary KIV-700 is Kenwood's first in-car receiver designed specifically for iPod and USB media lovers. Having no CD mechanism included the user interface can be made to operate extremely intuitively for large capacity media libraries, where search systems are the number one priory. An extra bonus is the ability to display video from either iPod or USB devices.

iPod Like Operation
The grip control knob is similar to that of an iPod, making operation familiar for iPod owners. The high-speed search bar key allows users to scroll up or down through music and video files.

iPod/iPhone Music and Video Playback
For quality playback of video or music stored in an iPod/iPhone. The supplied cable enables easy connection to the KIV-700 via a USB 2.0 Direct connection for full speed data transfer and also doubles as a battery charger for your iPod/iPhone. In addition, the KIV-700 can playback Video from USB and internal memory. Available formats are MPEG4, WMV, H.264.

Search Feature
Simply press the SEARCH MODE key to access a variety of search modes. Direct Search enables searching by entering the first three letters of the playlists, artists, albums, songs, podcasts, genres or composers, then turning the knob right/left to get a list of songs. It is also possible to search using Alphabet Search, Skip Search and Related Search functions. iPod Control by Hands Mode allows the user to control from the iPod itself rather than from the headunit.
3" TFT Full Colour Display
The KIV-700 features iPod Album Art which displays on the 3-inch TDF screen just as you would see it on an iPod screen. Video Playback is also available for displaying video files stored on your iPod.
USB Hub Ready
With the KIV-700, not only can iPod/iPhone and USB memory devices be linked simultaneously, but it also enables iPod Direct Control through the USB hub connection. (USB Hub not supplied)
Kenwood Music Editor Lite
Kenwood Music Editor Lite allows you to readily create a music file database that can be used via your KIV-700 from the music files stored in the USB device using a drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste technique. If you create a music file database using Kenwood Music Editor Lite, you can search for a music file by genre/artist/album/song via the KIV-700.
Sound Excellence DSP
The Sound Excellence audio enhancement feature brings out all of the music masked by road noise and it includes a unique iPod EQ function that improves iPod sound quality by deactivating the EQ setting, allowing you to select from twenty-two EQ curves optimised for iPod playback in an vehicle.
