Security Codes for Products 2009 Onwards


Due to the special theft protection system some stereos and multimedia products have an individual security code number. If the power has been disconnected from the battery or the stereo has been reset, the product will require the four-digit code that was set by you or the original purchaser of the product.

The following stereos have a customised 4-digit code.

CD/Receivers

DPX-303, 503U.

KDC-BT6044, BT6144, BT6544U, BT8044U.

KDC-W3544, W4044, W4544, W4644, W5544, W7044,W7544.


Multimedia/Navigation Products

DDX-3028, 4028BT, 5024, 5026, 8024 8026BT.

DNX-4280BT, 5240/BT, 5260BT, 7240BT, 7240BT, 9240BT, 9260BT.

KDV-4244, 5244.

KVT-524DVD, 526DVD.

If you do not have the code you will need to carry out the following procedure to have the stereo re-coded. There is a charge for re-coding made by our main service centre Fullers Ltd of £30.00, which includes return carriage and VAT, for this service. Please note that some form of proof of purchase or ID is require for security reasons.

Please carry out the following procedure:

1/ Contact Fullers Ltd before returning the product, to confirm that you are sending your unit for re-coding.
2/ Supply a copy of proof of purchase of the Kenwood equipment or ID i.e. driving licence etc.
3/ Name, return address and daytime contact telephone number.
4/ Box up the unit securely with the documentation as above and send to Fullers via Royal Mail Special Delivery or courier.
