Before clicking on the link please read the instructions below on how to update your DNX5220 or DNX5220BT.

To update to the latest version of firmware please click on this link

• Download software file to your desktop.
• Create a folder called garmin on your desktop.
• Double click the file which you downloaded (self extracting file).
• Click on “Browse” and select the garmin folder that you created on your desktop.
• Click on “Unzip” and the file will be unzipped and placed into the garmin folder.
• Burn the garmin folder onto a CD-R/RW.

NB: the disc must be finalised – if using Nero for example, you need to uncheck the box that says “Allow files to be added later (multisession disc)”.

• Power on DNX-5220 or DNX5220BT.
• Select [NAV].
• Insert the software CD.
• Screen will validate software and then ask you if you want to update.
• Press “YES” to start update.
• Wait for a few minutes and disc will eventually be ejected.
• Continue to wait as update will continue after the disc has been ejected
• Finally, after navigation has finished updating, check the software version – SETTINGS > ABOUT > SOFTWARE – it should now display the new software version number.
