Trax on 2nd September at Silverstone Race Track.
With the 2007 season nearly over Trax is well known as the last show of the year and we attended in full force. Kenwood was allocated a pit garage for us to set up our stand. Inside we had our two demo cars, the Subaru and our VW MK5 Golf. With Ian from Turnbulls (Plymouth) Ltd turning up in his subtle but striking new VW van and Anthony with his smartie coloured Clio, this gave the visitors something new and exciting to see and hear. More information on these vehicles will appear shortly in our Demo Car section.
The sun managed to stay out for most of the day, making what little summer we have had all come in one day! This brought out thousands of cars all parked in the club sections. With them all making their way to the trade area of Silverstone, it proved to be an extremely busy day.

Ripspeed Ultimate Street Car on 3rd/4th and 5th August at Santapod Raceway.
The last 4 weeks has seen the Scooby showing all across the UK. We started in Scotland, travelled to Newcastle then to Torquay and onto Santapod for this weekend's USC.
Finally Summer had arrived, with what maybe the only weekend of sun that we have this year!! This brought out thousands of people looking to soak up the USC festival atmosphere.
Supporting Halfords/Ripspeed we had the Scooby on their stand. One of the features of
DNX7200 is that it has an AUX-in, this then allowed us to plug in their PA system and use the car as an extension of their PA system.
With the sun starting to set after an amazing weekend we packed the car up and headed back to Kenwood HQ.
Lets just hope that the sun stays out long enough for Trax on the 2nd September. See ya there!

Fast and Modified Show on 15th July at the Royal Highland Centre Edinburgh.
After three stops for petrol and 450 miles later we eventually arrived at the Royal Highland Centre. We then had the task of de-bugging the car as we seemed to have killed every bug on our way up. After getting it ready to show worthy condition we then positioned the car onto our trade stand.
Sunday morning was an early alarm call to finish off setting up the stand and getting everything ready for the morning crowds.
With the crowds pouring into the centre one of the first cars they saw was the Kenwood Scooby. With the Kenwood team giving demos all day on the
DNX7200 on how easy it is to connect iPod, Bluetooth and USB devices.
The day pasted quickly and 5pm came the Scooby was loaded up and ready for its trip to Sedgefield Race Course.

Fastfest Show 1st July at Santapod.
We travelled up to Santapod early Sunday morning in the rain, (as usual!). When we arrived we gave the Scooby a quick wash down and set up the tent. By about 10.00 the sun made an appearance and the show started to get busy. The track was dried off and racing commenced.
On show was an array of modified cars including racing cars and a jet engine dragster, which makes a phenomenal noise and tore down the racetrack at an unbelievable speed.
In the afternoon we switched off the music and turned on the F1 racing at Magny-Cours in France on the two screens in the Subaru using our TV Tuner
KTC-D500E (Which is available now). This drew in the crowds with many people remarking about the clarity of the picture and sound quality.
With Lewis Hamilton finishing third for McLaren in 1 hour and 31 minutes we packed up and headed back to Kenwood HQ.

Jap Show 24th June at Santapod.
The day started like it could be a total wash out with the weather, however it turned out to be a very busy day. Unfortunately due to the rain the strip was closed all day meaning the trade area’s were very busy.
This didn’t put the drift guys off, it still amazes us how they manage to control their cars while getting them to drift like they do. With the hardcore guys camping the night before, the morning proved to be very busy. It rained on and off all day, however we managed to position the Subaru under the tent to keep us and the car dry!
Question of the day still has to be “Why do we have 3 head units in the boot” If you are asking us the questions then we have done our job!
With the rain setting in we made our way back down the M1 hoping that next weeks FastFest will stay dry!.

GTi Internationl 16th/17th June at Bruntingthorpe.
With what started out as a very wet week, turned into a hot and sunny Sunday (We had the sunburn to prove this!). The show and shine saw some of the cleanest and highly modified VW cars out in force, the sprint was busy with a record number of runs achieved. There was a tyre testing course which was there to test your ability and to try out a new high performance tyre.
Another highlight of the show, and one which drew very large crowds all weekend, was VW’s GTI W12-650bhp Concept car. The stand was busy all day giving demo’s on the latest double-DIN products and i-pod solutions. The show was a great success with Kenwood’s awareness in the VW scene improving and being widely appreciated.

Japfest Saturday 19th May at Castle Combe.
Japfest was a new show for Kenwood. With the shows location at the fabulous Castle Combe Race Circuit there was plenty of track action to be seen. This was the scooby's first outing with its new look of 18" Prodrive wheels and lowered suspension. With it being a Japanese car show our newly modified Subaru was surrounded by some of the best modified Japanese cars out there.
"Will that really fit in my Subaru?" we were asked many time's during the day and "will the DNX7200 fit in my car and look the same as that." The answer is yes most Subaru's are double-DIN and our range of double-DIN products fit these cars and look fantastic, with very little work to fit them!
The stand was busy all day with questions about how we managed to fit all that product in 1 boot! We proved to a few Subaru owners that you can get a good sound from the car without spending big bucks!

Donny Show - 7 & 8th April.
Donny 2007 took place over Easter Bank Holiday weekend, with an unusually hot and sunny weekend in April it saw some 52000 people attending. This being the start of the car show year and was the first outing for our Subaru WRX/STi sporting its new audio installation.
With its subtle and stunning install it drew in the crowds. The Subaru has an ear bashing 6350 watts playing through twelve speakers.
Having just fitted the
DNX7200 with built-in SAT Nav, tuner, DVD and i-Pod solution we found this to be a big talking point as many cars are now able to accommodate double-DIN units.
Also on the stand we had Sonic and his highly modified Peugeot 206.
