Kenwood's New Demo Car - VW Scirocco
When designing a demo car the obvious things are – visual excitement and impressive sound. However equally important is the build and system durability. Up to 3 years of shows can take their toll on poor structural materials and vinyl’s etc.
So our brief to Huets Car Audio was for all 3 aspects to be perfect. Bottom line is that everything is designed and built bespoke and finished to at least the original car standards.

VW Golf MK5
With the winter break over we set about installating some equipment into one of our sales reps car. With the newly launched
DNX8220BT double-DIN head-unit finding its way into the dash of the MK5 Golf. DNX8220BT has built-in Parrot bluetooth with audio streaming, built-in Garmin navigation and a new exciting GUI (Graphically User Interface). The Golf comes with a centre vent which can be modified to accept a
KSC-510CTR centre surround speaker. This has been hidden under the vent to keep the car looking as factory as possible. Kenwood are now able to showcase 5.1 DTS surround sound in the car.

Exterior: Custom front bumper. Smoothed number plate recess. Custom headlamp mouldings and chrome centre bars. Mk4 Astra Angel Eyes. Crystal fog lamps. Lengthened Clio bonnet with reverse opening conversion on gas struts. Smoothed colour coded scuttle panel. Smoothed side repeaters. Custom smoothed arches and side skirts. Smoothed handles with remote pop solenoids, locks, roof drainage, aerial, and side sills. Mono wiper conversion. DTM style LED mirrors. Smoothed rear boot lid with “slide out” conversion. Black alcantara headlining with smoothed sun visors and handles removed. Leather gear gaiter with orange stitching. Orange and black mats. Simoni Barcetta steering wheel and boss with colour coded centre ring. Custom pedals and gear knob.
Performance: Clio 2.0 16V. Gunner Racing chipped ECU. Polished and ported head. Stage 2 racing cams and vernier pullies. Pipercross Viper induction kit. Custom Stainless rocker cover, inlet manifold cover and engine mounts. Polished swirl pot, inlet manifold, rocker cover, slam panel, under bonnet covers and engine hook. Stainless battery, power steering, spark, plenum, M cylinder and map sensor covers. Samco hoses. Un-silenced de-cat pipe. Custom full exhaust system with polished centre exit rear can and twin oval tail pipes.
Suspension and wheels: Carbon strut brace. Ultimate coil over -70 mm front and lowered shocks at rear. Torsion bar lowered 80mm. Hi-Spec 325mm front cross drilled discs with gold bells and gold 4 pot calipers. Fast road rear brakes cross drilled to match fronts. Kevlar brake pads. Stainless steel brake kits. Ace 7.5 x 19“ 201 alloy wheels painted black with Toyo Proxy 215/35/19.

Harley Davidson F150 Pickup Truck.
The audio in this vehicle was designed and installed by Turnbulls (Plymouth) Ltd - Tel no: 01752 665524. The idea behind this truck was it had to be loud!!! The owner also wanted two systems in one, the first being a good SQ system up front, the second being a removable bass system in the rear cab. With 8 subs in the open rear cab this easily achieves the owners requirements.
