SKIN CHANGE
Kenwood's new visual system offers users a choice of 3 "skin" graphics (3D, Fire and Metal), in order to match your mood or your cars interior. For your convenience there is a SKIN button on the top menu to easily transform the look of the dynamic Graphic User Interface with a stunning design at the touch of a button.


IN-CAR SURROUND SOUND (5.1CH DSP)
While pursuing improvement of fundamental audio quality through application of the Digital Direct concept, Kenwood also recognises how Dolby Digital, dts and other multichannel formats transform the cars environment into a sensual sound stage with the power of surround audio. And with Dolby Pre-Logic II compatibility, even 2ch signals from CDs, iPods/iPhone and any other 2ch sources can be converted into 5.1ch signals to simulate surround sound.

SRS WOW HD
SRS WOW HD technology allows you to effectively adjust the center image relative to the ambient audio for a personalised user experience. It also includes high definition audio enhancements and advanced bass processing for increased sound quality.

SOUND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Sound Management System automatically shapes the ideal sound field based on the simple entry of the vehicle type, the mounted speaker sizes and their installation conditions. Kenwood has conducted extensive research on a variety of vehicles and determined expert rules for shaping the ideal acoustical field. Sound Management System uses this expert database of sound field correction settings to automatically optimise the sound field setup for your vehicle. With Sound Management System, anyone can create the perfect listening space in seconds.


DTA (DIGTIAL TIME ALIGNMENT)
Unlike the speakers in a home audio system, you are not free to adjust the position of speakers in your vehicle. This restriction on the positional relationship between the speakers and listener will often result in an unnatural sound. DTA adjusts the time taken by the sound from each speaker to reach the listener's ears. By synchronising the timing of sounds from different speakers, DTA creates a more natural sound.


GRAPHIC EQUALISER
In Preset Mode, you can select one of the 6 preset equaliser curves including ROCK and POP. Choose the User Mode to fine tune front and rear channels individually according to your perferences and compensate for tonal differences between the front and rear speakers arising from installation positions and size. The result is a natural audio reproduction enviroment and enhanced listening enjoyment for you.

Easily customise your settings with the wave of a finger! Just by running your finger along the touch screen panel, the Graphic Equaliser will follow your movement to easily tune your audio settings.

ADVANCED SPEECH RECONGITION
Contributing to both effortless operation and safer driving, speech recognition enables hands-free control of source selection, volume adjustments, radio station selection, and other basic operations for each source. When paired with a Bluetooth phone, it also lets the driver search keywords and names in the music directory. English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Italian are supported.


iPOD iPHONE PLAYBACK
For quality playback of video or music stored in an iPod or iPhone, the optional cable KCA-iP301V enables easy connection to the DNX9240BT via a USB 2.0 Direct connection for full speed data transfer and the ultimate in operational convenience. In addition, the KCA-iP301V doubles as a battery charger for your iPod.

SEARCH FUNCTION
Alphabetical search lets users enter alphanumeric strings and quickly finds music by album name, artist, genre, or title list on the iPod/iPhone and USB playlist screen. Even better, you can search your phonebook using the first numeral of the phone number.
