In order to conform to the new "EU Battery Directive 2006/66/EC", Kenwood Corporation is going to stop delivering Nickel-Cadmium batteries into EU member states by 26th September 2008. Where stocks of Ni-Cd batteries exist in the distribution channel, it is not prohibited to sell to customers even after the transition period finishes.
