Head-units with these features are capable of playing CD-R/RW discs recorded in the WMA (Windows Media Audio) and MP3 music compression formats. The head-unit can display the title information according to the WMA tag and MP3 ID tag showing titles and artist, and is also compatible with the long name files. The units can also playback CD-R/RW discs on which MP3 and WMA files coexist.

AAC
Stands for "Advanced Audio Coding". It is an audio codec developed by the organisation that is responsible for the MPEG standards and it achieves audio encoding with much higher compression efficiency than previous formats such as MP3. The Kenwood players can reproduce MPEG-4 format .m4a files that are compressed by using AAC-LC.
